Five members of a family including three children were found dead inside their home on Sunday in Tumkuru area of Karnataka.

Bengaluru: Five members of a family including three children were found dead inside their home on Sunday in Tumkuru area of Karnataka. Reportedly, the family is believed to have died by suicide due to alleged financial and mental issue.

The deceased, identified as Garneb and his wife Sumayya were found hanging from the ceiling, while their three children were found lying dead on the bed.

According to reports, Garneb used to run a kebab shop, which was running in losses.

Before committing suicide, the deceased allegedly wrote a suicide note and also shot a video. In the video he mentioned the financial distress that the family was going through. In the same video, he also mentioned a person, identified as Kalander, of harassing, abusing and humiliating him and his family multiple times.

“Kalander has spread rumours about us and has fought with us several times outside our house. His elder son, daughter, first floor Shabana and her daughter. These four-five people are the reason. These five (people) are the reason for our death. They should be given a strong punishment. My son asked me what would happen to them if I die. So I’m taking them with me…” Garneb said in the video.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, seized the bodies and sent them for autopsy. The cops have also initiated a probe into the matter.
