Field hospitals, first-aid booths and other facilities set up as devotees throng Ayodhya

Field hospitals, first-aid booths and other facilities have been deployed in Ayodhya for devotees ahead of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha.

Ayodhya: Field hospitals, first-aid booths and a portable disaster hospital have been deployed in Ayodhya for devotees by the Union Health Ministry and Uttar Pradesh government ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir on January 22.

According to official reports, nearly 8,000 invitees and hundreds of thousands of devotees will attend the event on Monday.

Keeping the security and safety of the devotees in mind, the government has set up two fully equipped field hospitals with 20-bed facility at Tulsi Udyan and a 10-bed facility at Tent city. Additionally, 16 first-aid booths have been deployed to ensure proper health facilities for the devotees. A control room is also being set up in the mela area.

A team from the trauma centre associated with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, has also conducted training in basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and triage techniques for all healthcare workers deployed in the city ahead of the grand occasion.

The Central government’s indigenously developed portable hospital for emergencies, which has mini Cubes with different equipment, medicines and consumables is likely to be at ready if needed. The portable hospital is named as Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube.

As per reports, hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and other neighbouring states have also been asked to remain on alert in case of any unforeseen emergency situations.
