Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students, West Bengal 2022-23 is an initiative by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal for students studying in Classes 9 and 10.
The objective of the Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students, West Bengal scheme is to provide financial assistance to ST category students studying in Classes 9 and 10 to minimize the incidence of dropout. The selected candidates will receive variable awards.
Eligibility
- Be a citizen of West Bengal
- Belong to the ST category
- Be a student of Class 9 and 10
- Belong to a family whose income is not more than Rs 2 lakh per annum
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the following awards-
For Hosteller-
- Monthly Scholarship – Rs 750 per month for 10 months
- Adhoc Grant – Rs 1,000 per annum
For Day Scholars-
- Monthly Scholarship – Rs 150 per month for 10 months
- Adhoc Grant – Rs 750 per annum
