Reliance Jio discontinues recently launched Rs 1 prepaid plan

Reliance Jio has discontinued its launched Rs 1 4G prepaid plan completely within 15 days of its launch. The recently launched plan is currently not listed on the My Jio app nor on the desktop website. This plan created much hype as it is the cheapest prepaid plan among all the plans offered by the telecom operators.

According to Telecom talk, many people were happy with the plan as they got to enjoy 1GB of data for a very affordable price as compared to Jio’s Rs 15 4G data voucher offering 1GB of data as well.

Jio’s Rs 1 prepaid plan comes with 30 days of validity and offers 100MB of data. So customers can get around 1GB of data in less than Rs 15 rupees which is the current price of Jio’s 1GB data voucher plan.

However, Jio revised the benefits of the plan and cut down the data balance from 100 MB to 10MB after a few days of its launch.

But then, a day later, Jio had changed the benefits of the Re 1 plan from 100MB to 10MB and that too with a very short validity of 1 day.

Reliance Jio’s 4G data voucher plans

The Rs 1 plan 4G data voucher plan was listed under the ‘Value’ section in the website and the My Jio app before it was discontinued. Now Jio has listed only three plans under the ‘Value’ section including Rs 1559, Rs 395, and Rs 155 plan.

However, do not mistake them for data vouchers plans. They bring data balance along with voice calling and SMS benefits.

Reliance Jio also offers many prepaid data vouchers for its 4G customers which starts from Rs 15 and goes up to Rs 121. The Rs 15 voucher offers 1GB of data and the other data vouchers including Rs 25, Rs 61, and Rs 121 offers 2GB, 6GB, and 12GB of data.
