Royal Enfield Scram 411 launched in India, Check price and specifications

Royal Enfield has finally launched the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 in India. The motorcycle is based on the company’s most popular adventure bike Himalayan. However, the Scram 411 is built to dominate the streets as well as for moderate off-roading. According to the company, the motorcycle is an ADV crossover.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is powered by the same 411cc, single-cylinder, 4 stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is present in the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The maximum power that is expected to be produced from the engine is 24.3 bhp, while the peak torque will be 32Nm. However, the front wheel of the Scram will be smaller than the Himalayan. While the Himalayan has a 21-inch wheel at the front the Scram will have 19-inch front wheel. The rear wheel will be the same as that of the Himalayan (17-inch). The scram gets spoked wheels and 5-speed gearbox just like the Himalayan.

Unlike the Himalayan’s split seat design, the Scram 411 gets a single seat. The handlebar remains the same as that of the Himalayan. However, the height of the handlebar is not as high as that of the Himalayan. The Scram does not have the windscreen that is present on the Himalayan. The tank shroud is also smaller as compared to the Himalayan.

In terms of safety, dual disc brakes (front and rear) along with dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) are available on the bike. While the front will have telescopic suspension, the rear has mono-shock suspension. In terms of dimensions, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 has a wheelbase of 1455 mm, ground clearance 200 mm and seat height of 795 mm. The kerb weight of the bike is 185 kg while the fuel capacity is 15 litres.

When it comes to colour options of the Royal Enfield Scram 411 is offered in multiple paint schemes. The paint schemes include- white, silver, black, blue, graphite red and yellow. On the other hand users can opt for tripper navigation system and bike’s centre stand (both of them are not included with the bike).

The Royal Enfield bike Scram 411 has a starting price of Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom).
