Few days ago, pictures of new Suzuki S-Cross had surfaced on the internet and automobile enthusiasts were left wondering about the features of new version of the SUV. Suzuki (known as Maruti Suzuki in India) has finally revealed the new generation of Suzuki S-Cross for the international markets. The new Suzuki S-Cross gets a fresh new upgrade in terms of exterior and interior. The 2022 Suzuki S-Cross is based on the updated version of Global C platform.
Engine
In terms of engine the second-generation of Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a 1.4-litre Boosterjet petrol engine that churns out a power of 127hp and 235Nm of peak torque. The engine is based on a 48V mild-hybrid system which not only improves fuel efficiency of the vehicle but also improves acceleration. The transmission of the Suzuki S-Cross includes 6-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic variants. The top spec version of the SUV will include an AWD (All Wheel Drive) system. The company claims that the new S-Cross can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds. The top speed of the SUV is 195 kmph. The 4WD variant of the Suzuki S-Cross can accelerate 0-100 kmph in 10.2 seconds.
Design
In terms of design, the body of the Suzuki S-Cross gets a black cladding, 17-inch alloy wheels, wheel arches that are squarish and chrome window lines. The headlights are contrastingly different as compared to the older model. The headlamp comprises of triple-beam and the fog lamp is newly designed. Faux skid plates at the front and the rear give an attractive finish to the vehicle.
Connectivity
The connectivity features of the Suzuki S-Cross offers a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and allows you to connect your smartphone with the car. Other features of the car include dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, heated front seats, LED headlamps etc. the top variant of the SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, leather seat upholstery, 360-degree parking camera.
Colours
Buyers have the option to purchase the 2022 Suzuki S-Cross in 6 attractive options. The colours include Silky Silver, Metallic Titan Dark grey, Sphere Blue, Solid White, Energetic Red and Cosmic Black.
Launch in India
Even though Suzuki has unveiled about the 2022 Suzuki S-Cross, the sale of the SUV will be limited only to European markets. The launch of the SUV in India market remains unknown. As of now, the mid-size SUV segment in India is ruled by Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
