Suzuki V-Strom SX: An entry level sport adventure tourer that fits into your budget
Suzuki motorcycle India has launched its entry level sport adventure tourer (ADV) motorcycle- V-Strom SX in the country. The Suzuki V-Strom SX offers rugged versatility with an elegant style and modern look. The V-Strom SX will help you enjoy you ride whether you are in city conditions or in light off-roading conditions. The new ADV by Suzuki will be available in the Indian market from May 2022.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX launched at a price of Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle shares the same platform as that of the Gixxer 250 that is available in India. However, there have been some important changes in the hardware of the motorcycle that makes it stand out against the Gixxer 250.
Engine
The V-Strom SX is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The peak power of the engine is 26.5hp and the peak torque is 22.2Nm. The weight of the bike is 167 kg. The front wheel is 19 inch while the rear is a 17 inch. In terms of suspension the front gets telescopic forks while the rear is a swingarm type suspension. The ground clearance of the bike is 205 mm. The tank capacity of the V-Strom SX is 12 litres while the seat gets a two-piece setup.
The ADV gets disc brakes along with Antilock Brake System (ABS). The digital instrument cluster on the bike offers a set of important features to the user like turn-by-turn navigation, calls, SMS, phone battery level and several others. The bike also gets a USB charging port.

Design
The design of the V-Strom SX is inspired by the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 which is currently on sale in the international markets. The front, as well as side profile of the motorcycle, is also inspired by other motorcycles of Suzuki. The motorcycle gets a beak at the front which is below the headlight. The headlight is LED and is similar to the Gixxer 250. Above the headlight, there is a windscreen that helps in deflecting winds at higher speeds during the ride. The bike also gets knuckle covers, engine cowl as well as footrest rubber. The bike also gets a grab bar that can be useful for carrying luggage.
Colours
The ADV is available in three colours- Champion Yellow 2, Pearl Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black
Rival
The Suzuki V-Strom SX will compete with the likes of KTM 250 Adventure in India. Both the machines come under 250cc segment and are targeted at the audience who like a bit of adventure in their regular life.
