Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naven Patnaik on Sunday extended his warm greetings to Odia people staying in Odisha and outside on the occasion of 83rd Utkal Divas (Odisha Day).
Taking Twitter route, the Chief Minister also paid rich tribute to the late leaders who sacrificed their lives for formation of separate state of Odisha on Apri 1, 1936.
ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଦିବସରେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ହାର୍ଦ୍ଦିକ ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ। ସ୍ଵତନ୍ତ୍ର ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଗଠନର ମନୀଷୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ବିନମ୍ର ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି। ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା, ସଂସ୍କୃତି ଓ ଐତିହ୍ୟକୁ ବିଶ୍ଵବ୍ୟାପୀ କରିବା ସହ ସବୁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କ ସର୍ବାଙ୍ଗୀନ ଉନ୍ନତି କରି ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଦେଶର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା ଆମ ସଂକଳ୍ପ।

Odia communities across the country and abroad celebrate Utkal Divas to mark the formation of Odisha state on linguistic basis in 1936.
The state government and different organisations are scheduled to organise several programmes across the state throughout the day to mark the occasion.
The capital city Bhubaneswar already wore a glittering look with regional fervour. All major government buildings such as the State Assembly, Secretariat, Police Commissinerate and many others dazzled with colourful lights.
