Boudh: In a tragic incident, two labourers were killed after some heavy marble slabs fell on them while being unloaded from a truck on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Biswamitra Dehury of Mahendrapur, Athmallik under Angul district and Panchanan Naik of Bapuji Nagar under Boudh Urban body.
The incident took place at Rajanpalli square near Boudh town
Sources say, Biswamitra and Panchanan were unloading marble from a truck, when they came under the heap of marble slabs. Following which they died on the spot.
On being informed, Boudh police and fire personnel reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Later, a case has been registered.
