Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia may surpass world’s tallest Burj Khalifa Building

Jeddah Tower, also called Kingdom Tower, is reportedly going to be over 1,000 m (1 km; 3,281 ft) tall.

New Delhi: The Burj Khalifa building in Dubai which is at present the tallest building in the world, might lose its ‘tallest’ crown. This is because there is a building under construction now, which may surpass Burj Khaifa in height. Burj Khalifa is 828 meters tall, however the Jeddah Tower, which is under construction these days in Saudi Arabia will be 1 km tall after it gets completed. The information was reportedly shared by the Guinness book of World Records.

The construction of the Burj Khalifa started in 2004, and it officially opened in 2010. Since then, this has been considered as the world’s tallest building.

However, recently another building is under construction which may supersede Burj. According to Guinness World Records, a building currently under construction in Saudi Arabia is expected to be even taller than the Burj Khalifa once it’s complete.

Jeddah Tower, also called Kingdom Tower, is reportedly going to be over 1,000 m (1 km; 3,281 ft) tall.

This Jeddah Economic Company building will be a mixture of luxury housing, office space, serviced apartments, and luxury condominiums.
