16 killed, 36 injured in road accident in Mexico

The accident in Mexico took place when a bus collided with a trailer near the state border between Oaxaca and Puebla.

Mexico: As many as 16 people were killed and 36 others were left injured in a fatal road accident. The accident took place on Mexico’s Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca highway.

Reportedly, the accident took place on August 22 after a bus carrying locals and migrants collided with a trailer near the state border between Oaxaca and Puebla.

The deceased in the Mexico road accident included eight men, eight women, and one minor. The injured people were rushed to the Tehuacan General hospital for immediate medical attention.

The Prosecutor’s office has initiated an investigation into the matter to find out the exact reason behind the collision.

The interior ministry of Puebla said that it is in talks with the federal government agencies and other state authorities on how to support the victims of the accident.
