You can schedule text message on iPhones, here’s how

Scheduling texts in advance can help you in many ways, especially on order to effectively manage personal and professional communication. One can focus on other crucial tasks without worrying about sending messages at specific time. However, there’s no direct system of scheduling message on iPhones directly. But, you can use the unconventional method to get the work done.

There’s an application named Shortcuts, which is pre-installed on iPhones with ios 13 or more. You can use this app to send texts automatically at a particular time.

Here’s how you can schedule a text message on iPhones:

  • Step 1: You need to create automation to schedule a message. In order to do that, open the Shortcuts app and tap on Automation. Next, go to the Create Personal Automation option.
  • Step 2: Then select the preferred timings for the message. In order to do this, go to the time of day and select the same.
  • Step 3: Now go to the send message option. On the new window, you will find the option to type in your message and select recipients. Once done, click on Next.
  • Step 4: Pin off Ask before Running. If you keep it on, you will get a prompt to confirm your action before sending the message. Now tap on Done.

It’s a common method; however, the problem with the method is that set on repeat mode, whether daily, weekly, or monthly. So, if you want to use send message once, you must delete the automation task manually.

Meanwhile, one can also use third-party applications, such as Moxy Massenger, that can be downloaded from the Apple Store. These applications mainly focus on messaging functions like scheduling messages for one-time or repeated occasions. However, these apps might need a subscription to do so.
