Realme GT 5 Pro to feature a 50-Megapixel Sony IMX890 camera with 3x optical zoom

Realme is scheduled to launch the GT 5 Pro smartphone in China later this month. Realme has revealed some of the details of the premium flagship phone through new teasers. Now, the smartphone has been confirmed to arrive with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 telephoto periscope rear camera.
Realme recently teased the photography prowess of the upcoming Realme GT 5 Pro in a Weibo post. The device will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX80 sensor coupled with an f/2.6 aperture and 3x optical zoom with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) support. As per reports, the rear camera setup will deliver up to 120x super zoom.
The new new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Realme’s computing framework is said to offer 10 percent better power efficiency and up to 44 percent faster frame processing in the new device.
The other features confirmed to be offered with the smartphone are latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 1TB of onboard storage. Realme has also revealed that it will be packed with a larger heat dissipation unit, a 3,000 nits display, and an upgraded telephoto camera.
Realme has also disclosed that Realme GT 5 Pro will ship with a BOE-made display that will have 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The handset will have improved heat dissipation technology with a surface area of around 10,000mm square and an upgraded telephoto camera.
Moreover, the handset was spotted on a recent TENAA listing with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1,264×2,780 pixels resolution. It could be offered in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB inbuilt storage options. The phone is said to have a triple rear camera unit and a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. The Realme GT 5 Pro will pack a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
