Itel A70 launches as 1st affordable smartphone with 12GB RAM, 256GB storage at Rs 7,299

Itel has launched the Itel A70 as the latest A-series smartphone in India. This is the 1st affordable smartphone in India that packs 256GB of internal storage and 12GB RAM through memory fusion. The device equips a 6.6-inch HD+ display, a 5000 mAh battery, and features a Dynamic bar feature like the iPhone.

The Dynamic Bar will show notifications like alerts during phone calls, progress updates for charging sessions and even face unlock.

Itel A70: Price and availability

The smartphone will also be available in two other variants. The itel A70 is priced at Rs 7,299 for the 256GB + 12GB variant, Rs 6,799 for the 128GB/12GB variant option and Rs 6,299 for 64GB variant. It will be available for sale on leading online portals and offline retail stores across India starting January 5.

The itel A70 will be offered in four stunning colors – Field Green, Azure Blue, Brilliant Gold and Starlish Black.

Itel A70: Key specifications

The itel A70 is equipped with a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a brightness level of 500 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone comes with Apple’s Dynamic Island-like Dynamic Bar feature that shows notifications and alerts to users without obstructing the main viewing area. The handset runs Android 13 Go Edition-based ItelOS 13.

An octa-core Unisoc T603 chipset powers the Itel A70. It packs up to 4GB of RAM that supports virtual expansion up to 12GB and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded to up to 2TB via a microSD card.

The device features dual sensors of 13MP HDR rear lens and an 8MP AI selfie camera. The company claims the smartphone to have advanced features that will enable users to capture images even in low-light conditions.

The A70 packs a mighty 5000 mAh battery with Type C charging. Moreover, it supports face unlock and has a side fingerprint scanner.
