Apple iPhone 16 specifications, design leaked: Tipped to feature 120Hz display, new chipset and more

Apple recently launched iPhone 15 Series on September 12, 2023. Following the iPhone 15 series launch, new leaks about the next-generation of iPhone 16 have surfaced online. The leaks have tipped the specifications, and design of the iPhone 16. The leaks have suggested that like the iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 16 will also receive several changes. If we go by traditions, the Apple iPhone 16 will be launched in 2024. Like the iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 will include four models such as iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

According to the latest leaks, the iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to sport a larger 6.3-inch display, and the top-end iPhone 16 Pro Max might feature a 6.9-inch screen. Reports have also suggested that the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 will come with 120Hz display support. While most of the smartphones from other brands offer 120Hz refresh rate support, the iPhones offer only up to 60Hz display.

So, the iPhone 16 might really be provided with 120HZ display. However, the launch of the iPhone 16 will take some time and there might be changes in the middle.

The leak report has revealed that the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will continue to have the same screen dimensions as their predecessors iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has hinted that the iPhone 16 Pro models will be coming with the solid-state buttons, which are similar to the haptic feedback system found in the iPhone SE series’ Home button.

Apple will reportedly offer a “tetra-prism” telephoto camera with the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. With this technology, the iPhones will enable users to use an optical zoom boost from 3x to 5x to boost their photography qualities.

In addition, tech analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities has suggested that the iPhone 16 Pro Series will feature a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera.

In comparison, the current iPhone 15 Pro models are equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and two other sensors at the rear.

The company could use A18 Pro chip for the iPhone 16 Pro models and A17 could be reserved for the standard models.
