Packed with impressive features, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a substantial 5,400 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging. The device boasts an OLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, along with a 1.5K 144Hz refresh rate.
While the Realme GT5 Pro shares some similarities with the OnePlus 12, it introduces unique elements, such as a 50MP 3x periscope camera for enhanced zoom capabilities, using the flagship IMX890 sensor. The phone also features a 32MP selfie camera and introduces a distinctive palm unlock feature. When the display is off, users can unlock the screen by simply opening their palm and bringing it close to the phone.
Realme has also implemented an ‘AI gesture control system.’ This allows users to interact with the phone using hand gestures, similar to LG and Google’s gesture controls. The device runs on Realme UI 5.0 skin based on Android 14, promising three major Android version updates and four years of security patches.
In terms of design, the RealmeGT5 Pro offers a sleek look with an AG glass back for the black variant and a pleather-like rear for the white and brown variants. The phone comes with a circular camera housing, an aluminum frame, and a center-mounted punch-hole cutout. It also boasts an IP64 rating, making it dust-resistant and splash-resistant.
Realme has priced the GT5 PRo starting at 3,399 yuan ($479) in China for the 12GB/256GB model, with a promotional price of 3,298 yuan ($465). The higher-end 16GB/1TB variant is priced at 4,299 yuan ($606). While there are currently no plans for a global launch, there lies a possibility for a wider launch of the GT5 Pro model in 2024.
