Berhampur: A youth was found dead in mysterious conditions in a nullah in the foothills of Dhimirapalli under Patapur police limits in Ganjam district today.
The deceased has been identified as Bipin Badatya of Podamari village.
Bipin who went out of his home in some work last night didn’t return home till late. Later, a frantic search by his family also went futile.
Some locals spotted the victim’s body lying in the nullah this morning and called up police.
Patapur Police Station IIC Ramesh Chandra Pradhan rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy after conducting preliminary investigation.
While from the circumstantial evidence it appears to be a murder, the exact cause of death of the victims will be ascertained only after completion of autopsy, said police.
