Balasore: In a sad incident a youth allegedly committed suicide on the next day of the marriage of his girlfriend. The incident took place in Soro area of Balasore district in Odisha.
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Mallick, son of Ratnakar Mallick of Janhia village under Manatri Panchayat in Soro block.
As per reports, Pradeep was working with a company in Gujarat. Three to four days before he had come to his native village in Odisha and tried to meet his girlfriend but in vain. Yesterday night, marriage of the girl was solemnized with another boy.
Accordingly, Pradeep allegedly lost mental stability and today morning went from the house along with a liquor bottle and a rope. Later, he was found hanged from a tree near his house. It has been learnt from the video footage that has been taken during his last time.
After witnessing the hanging, his family members rushed Pradeep to Soro hospital but the doctor there declared him brought dead.
After getting information, Police seized the body, sent it for autopsy and registered a case. Investigation has been initiated for the case.
