Balasore: A goods truck hit a bike due to which two members of a family were killed on the spot. They have been identified as residents of Tulang Sahi area of Balasore district.
One Devadatta Mohapatra and his family members including his wife, son and daughter were reportedly returning home on a bike after visiting his father-in-law’s house in Rupsa.
However, the bike was hit by a truck following which Devdatta’s wife and daughter died on the spot, while his son and he sustained severe injuries.
The deceased were identified as Renuka Mohapatra and Himanshi Mohapatra.
Devdatta and his son are being treated at the Balasore District General Hospital.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on the area following the death of two members of the family.
