Jajpur: In an unfortunate incident, a 42-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son was electrocuted to death on Sunday in Nalipur village under the Balichandrapur police limits of Jajpur distrit.
The deceased were identified as Chand Bibi, 42, and her son Wasim Khan, 6. Both of them were residents of the Nalipur village.
As per reports, a house in the village was caught on fire last night and the mother and son duo came to douse the fire.
It is being speculated that both of them were electrocuted by coming in contact with a fallen electric wire.
On being informed, the Chandikhola firefighters got the fire under control after reaching the spot and the Balichandrapur police has started conducting an investigation on the incident.
