Twin City records less than 500 Covid-19 positive cases today

Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 cases in Twin City has been recorded under 500 on February 4. Bhubaneswar records 454 covid-19 positive cases today while Cuttack city reported 36 new Covid-19 cases today.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 454 positive cases registered today, 15 cases are quarantine cases while 439 cases are local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,53,651. The recovered cases are 1,40,409. The total number of deceased cases are 1126. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 12,095.

In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 36 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 7 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 19 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 10 local contact cases were recorded today.

The total cases in CMC are 55,455 while the recovered cases are 53,967. Active cases today are 1059 while the deaths are 429.

The recovered cases in BMC and CMC today are 439 and 171 respectively.

Odisha reported 2,697 fresh cases of Covid including 435 in the 0-18 years age group, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Friday.

The new 2,697 positive cases include 513 cases from Khordha, followed by Sundargarh at 291 and Cuttack at 138.

Among the 2,697 positives, 1,568 patients are in quarantine, and 1,129 are the local contacts. Currently, the active cases stand at 30,493.
