Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 107 covid positive cases, Cuttack reports 9 cases

Bhubaneswar: As on December 2, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 107 new covid positive cases. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 9 new cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 107 positive cases detected today, 50 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 57. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 50.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 21,523 while the total recovered cases are 1, 19, 155. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1087.  Active cases in the city are 1260.

Out of the total 9 positive cases registered in CMC on Thursday, 07 cases are from home quarantine, and 02 are local contact cases. On the other hand no cases of institutional quarantine were registered today.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,225 while the recovered cases are 44,602. The active cases today are 532.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 15 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 118 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 252 Covid-19 positive cases including 54 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

Among the 252 positives, 148 are quarantine cases and 104 are local contacts.
