Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 104 covid positive cases, Cuttack reports 9 cases

Bhubaneswar: As on December 3, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 104 new covid positive cases. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 9 new cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 104 positive cases detected today, 24 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 80. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 24.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 21,627 while the total recovered cases are 1, 19, 267. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1087.  Active cases in the city are 1252.

Out of the total 9 positive cases registered in CMC on Friday, 01 case of home quarantine, and 05 are local contact cases. On the other hand 3 cases of institutional quarantine were registered today.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,234 while the recovered cases are 44,619. The active cases today are 524.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 17 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 112 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 270 Covid-19 positive cases including 57 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

Among the 270 positives, 159 are quarantine cases and 111 are local contacts.
