Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 102 covid positive cases, Cuttack reports 10 cases

Bhubaneswar: As on December 8, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 102 new covid positive cases. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 10 new cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 102 positive cases detected today, 28 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 74. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 28.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 21,986 while the total recovered cases are 1, 19,758. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1087.  Active cases in the city are 1120.

Out of the total 10 positive cases registered in CMC on Bhubanesday, 02 cases of home quarantine, and 04 are local contact cases. On the other hand, 4 cases of institutional quarantine were registered today.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,263 while the recovered cases are 44,663. The active cases today are 509.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 13 recovered cases while in Bhubaneswar 96 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 255 Covid-19 positive cases including 54 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Wednesday.

Among the 255 positives, 152 are quarantine cases and 103 are local contacts.
