Twin City Covid Update: Bhubaneswar reports 100 positive cases, Cuttack reports 7 cases

Bhubaneswar: As on November 17, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 100 new covid-19 positive cases. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 7 cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 100 positive cases detected today, 28 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 72. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 28.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 20,176 while the total recovered cases are 1, 17,539. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1072.  Active cases in the city are 1544.

Out of the total 7 cases registered in CMC on Wednesday, 04 cases are from home quarantine and 03 local contact cases were reported. No cases of institutional quarantine were recorded today.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 45,066 while the recovered cases are 44,419. The active cases today are 556.

In the last 24 hours, Cuttack city has reported 19 recovered cases informed while in Bhubaneswar 108 recovered cases were registered.

A total of 226 Covid-19 positive cases including 33 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,46,088 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Wednesday.

Among the 226 positives, 128 are quarantine cases and 98 are local contacts.
