Balasore: Three were killed in a road mishap near Gachamalia Chhak under Chandipur police limits in the district today. Another youth who was severely injured in the accident has been admitted at the District Headquarters Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Bhakta Bandhu Singh, Pappu Singh and Brundaban Singh.
Eyewitnesses said that the incident took place when a scooty had a head-on collision with a motorcycle. “All the victims were thrown away to a distance. Both the rider and pillion of the motorcycle died on the spot along with pillion of the scooty. We rushed the survivor to the hospital,” said an eyewitness.
Police have started an investigation after seizing both the vehicles.
