Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple Working Committee meeting to be held today ahead of the Shree Mandira Parikrama Prakalpa inauguration. The progress of the Temple Parikrama work and the inauguration of the Parikrama project will be discussed in detail in the meeting.

Reports say that, special emphasis will be given on how preparations have been made for the inauguration ceremony and what work remains to be done. On the other hand, the distinguished guests who were invited from abroad by the administration of Shree Mandir will also be discussed.

Shree Mandir Chief Administrator Ranjan Das, District Magistrate Samarth Verma, SP K Vishal Singh, Chhattisha Niyog Mahanayak Management Committee members and service representatives of various service organizations will attend the meeting.

Shree Mandira Parikrama Prakalpa inauguration scheduled on January 17, senior Government officials visited Jagannath temple to check work progress, said reports.

According to reports, there only a weeks left for the inauguration of the Temple’s Shree Mandira Parikrama Prakalpa. As of now, 99 percent of the work has been completed. The work will be completed and handed over to the Government by tomorrow.

Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena took stock of the situation on the ground yesterday. Chief Advisor to the Odisha Chief Minister Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has reached Puri today and reviewed the project work. He visited the places in and around the Shree Mandira Parikrama Prakalpa like Yagyan pitha, Vedapatha at four gates, etc. Suresh Mohapatra was present along with the District Collector, Samarth Verma.

On the other hand, Jagannath Arpan Rath is going from village to village and collecting betel nut and rice from every household. When the chariot reaches different places, the people of the area give it a grand welcome. Rice and betel nut collected from all the panchayats are kept in the local temple and sent to the Puri temple after the puja. On the 17th, the grand inauguration of the much awaited Shrimandir Parikrama project is scheduled.

The Yajna mandap is built in the eastern corner of the temple on the orders of the priest of the temple. The Yajna Mandap is being constructed according to the complete scriptural rules. Guests from 60 places of the country and 30 places of the state will participate in the inauguration of the Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Project inauguration. Puri will be under thick security cover from January 14, said reliable reports.
