In a shocking incident, a son has died during the cremation of his father in Jeypore of Koraput in Odisha, said reports.
Jeypore: In a shocking incident, a son has died during the cremation of his father in Jeypore of Koraput in Odisha said reports. Later, the father and son were cremated in the same funeral pyre.
According to reports, while the father’s body was being prepared for cremation, the son lost his life. This heartbreaking incident took place in Kamata area of Koraput district, when a native of the area identified as Samantha Mandal died last night.
The family members brought the body from their village for the last rites to the cremation ground when yet another tragedy struck the family. In the cremation ground, a branch of a tree fell on the son of the deceased Benudhar Mandal.
Reports say that the son was critically hurt as the branch fell directly on his head. The family members immediately rushed him to the Borigumma Community Health Centre (CHC) where the doctors declared him brought dead.
After this incident, a pall of gloom descended on the village. This is indeed a heart rending incident. The family members have broken down following the incident as they lost the father and the son in a day’s gap.
