In a shocking incident, at least 90 school girl students reportedly walked around six kilometres to take exam in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

Baripada: In a shocking incident, at least 90 school girl students reportedly walked around six kilometres to take exam in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

The students, from class four to six, of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya (KGBV) in Bhaliadiha under Morada block reportedly walked about six kilometres to take their Panchayat-level Mathematics test which was being held at Baramail –based Upendranath Ghosh Govt High School.

People were shocked to see so many girls walking all together. When asked about the reason, they informed about their exam.

However, Bishnupriya Jena, the headmistress of the school, alleged that the students were forced to walk as they did not get any financial assistant for their travel.

Meanwhile, videos and photos of the incident are going viral with several locals demanding action over the incident.
