A series of loot from as many as nine shops last night has shocked the locals at Sabira Station Bazar under Soro Police station limits in Odisha’s Balasore district.

Balasore: A series of loot from as many as nine shops last night has shocked the locals at Sabira Station Bazar under Soro Police station limits in Odisha’s Balasore district.

According to reports, the robbers broke open the shops which include stationary shops, variety shops, pan shops, egg shops and saloon. Sadly, the shop owned by a differently-baled person was also looted.

The footage of how the looters broke the locks of the shops to rob the cashboxes and attempted to damage the CCTV cameras have been captured in the CCTV cameras.

While the exact amount of the cash looted is yet to be known, it is assumed that the robbers could decamp around Rs 50,000 from the shops.

The matter came to light only when the shop owners went to open the shops this morning, following which they filed separate cases at the Soro Police Station.

Soon, a team of cops rushed to the spot and carried out an investigation in the loot case. They are verifying the CCTV footage to identify the robbers and arrest them.
