Police To Seek Remand Of Siba Sahu; Accused In Quintuple Murder Case Mahanga

Cuttack: In a shocking incident that took place on Monday in which five members of a family had been killed in Kusupur village under Mahanga police limits.

The police will seek to take Siba Sahu, the accused in the sensational Mahanga quintuple murder, on remand for three days.

The investigating team will recreate the crime scene during the remand period.

A special team of Mahila police has also interrogated Shiba’s wife.

According to reports, the younger brother allegedly murdered five members of his elder brother’s family. Reports suggest that in a fit of rage, the younger brother wiped off the entire family.

The incident took place late at night on Monday.

The accused person later surrendered before Balichandrapur police in Jajpur.

Later, the police reached the crime spot and launched a full-fledged probe in the presence of the magistrate.

The deceased persons have been identified as Alek Sahoo, his wife Rashmi Sahoo, 20 year-old daughter Payal, 17 year-old son Guddu and their younger son Ishi aged 15 years.
