Bhubaneswar: The evaluation of Plus Two answer sheets began amid tight security at 56 centres across the state on Wednesday.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has roped in around 7,000 teachers for the evaluation of the answer copies of the Plus Two students.

The evaluation of the answer papers will be done in two phases. While the first phase, which began from today, will continue till April 14, the second phase will commence from April 16 and conclude on 26. The e-evaluation of answer sheets will be conducted at 29 out of the 56 centres.

In a bid to avoid any untoward incident, the CHSE has made it mandatory for the evaluators not to carry mobile phones while entering the evaluation centres.

The CHSE has also directed the evaluation centre supervisors to immediately identify and engage another efficient teacher in the absence of any evaluator.

On the other hand, the agitating block grant teachers under the banner of Odisha School and College Teachers’ and Employees’ United Forum (OSCTUF) have threatened to disrupt the evaluation process. They have decided to stage picketing in front of all centres to prevent other teachers from reaching the venue for evaluation work.

The teachers have been staging agitation demanding issuance of a notification regarding withdrawal of the affidavit clause prescribed in the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) Policy-2017.
