One person can get only 1 plot under DQ from Development Authorities: Orissa HC
The Orissa High Court has ordered that one person can take only one plot from any development authority in Odisha.
Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has put restrictions on the allotment of multiple plots to one person from various development authorities of the state. The HC has ordered that a person can take only one plot from any development authority. The apex court of the state has stated that the rules and regulation of Housing and Urban Development Department need to be tightened. All development authorities have been directed to implement this rule.
The order was given by the jury consisting of Justice Biswanath Rath. The petitioner applied to acquire one commercial plot and another residential plot. The High Court rejected the petition that was filed earlier and gave this order. Because the common people who are the real beneficiaries are deprived from the right to get a plot or a house from any development authority. The court accepted this and dismissed the petition of the petitioner and issued this directive to the government.
