Sundargarh: An Odisha vigilance raid has been conducted on Wednesday on Lily Choudhury, In-charge R.I. of Tasaladihi in Sundargarh.
Reports say that today a short while ago, Lily Choudhury, In-charge R.I. (Revenue Inspector), Tasaladihi, Tangarpali Tahasil, Dist-Sundargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance.
She was apprehended by the Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe Rs.5,000/- from a Complainant to submit enquiry report for conversion of Agricultural land to Homestead land in a conversion case in his favour.
Further it is worth mentioning that, the entire bribe money Rs. 5,000/- has been recovered from accused Lily Choudhury and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Choudhury in Sundargarh district from Disproportionate Assets (DA) angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.29 dt.28-11-2023, U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused Lily Choudhury following the Odisha vigilance raid, I/C RI. Detailed report awaited in this matter.
