Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday claimed that Odisha has achieved highest rate of poverty reduction in the country.
While launching BJD’s Jan Sampark Padayatra at Mahishakhal in Bhubaneswar today, Patnaik said that the state tops the list of poverty reduction claiming that his government has reduced poverty on the state by 25%.
The BJD president also claimed that his party believes in action and has worked tirelessly for the last 17 years for the development of the state.
“BJD believes in action and has worked for the last 17 years for the development of the state. Our aim is to make Odisha No.1 state in the country,” said Patnaik in his address.
BJD will raise the issue of central neglect towards Odisha during its state-level Jan Sampark Padayatra which will conclude on October 11.
Many Ministers, MPs and MLAs of the party along with thousands of party workers were present at the event.
