Odisha’s tableau shortlisted for Republic Day Parade 2024

Bhubaneswar: It a matter of great joy and pride for the people of Odisha that a tableau from the state has been shortlisted to participate in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi on January 26.
As per the letter of the Ministry of Defence to Odisha Chief Secretary, the tableau from the State on the theme of women empowerment and heritage craft village Raghurajpur has been selected to be part of the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path.
The tableau of Odisha portrays the story of craft village that became a centre of attraction for tourists across the globe through Pattachitra, palm-leaf engravings, wooden carvings, bottle painting and many more.
Apart from Odisha’s, the tableaus of 14 states and one Union Territory have been selected for the Republic Day Parade 2024.
