Odisha: Shop Owner Shot At After He Refused To Give Groceries On Credit

Ganjam: A grocery shop owner was allegedly shot at by a youth after he denied giving groceries on credit at Singipur village under Chatrapur police limits in the district last night.

As per reports, the accused Sanjay Barik reached the grocery shop of Sushant Patra and demanded some grocery items on credit. The shop owner, however, denied him of giving grocery items on credit.

Enraged over the incident, Barik went to his home and returned with a pistol. Barik also shot one round which hit Patra on his back.

Patra was immediately rushed to the Chatrapur Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. Police said that they are trying to nab the accused.
