Balasore: In a massive operation against illicit liquor, the excise officials seized around 97 litres of country-made liquor and huge quantity of foreign-made liquor from different places in Jaleswar area of Odisha’s Balsore district on Wednesday.
The excise officials have arrested five persons in this connection.
A team of excise officials led by Jaleswar Excise Inspector Ajay Kumar Behera, conducted the raid on the direction of Excise SP Vivikananda Naik, said Haraprasad Rana, OIC, Jaleswar Excise Station.
A case has been registered against all the five accused at Jaleswar Excise Station and they will be forwarded to the court later today, Rana added.
