Odisha Govt Dismisses Two OAS Officers, Withholds Pension Of Nine OAS Officers Over Corruption

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has initiated action against as many as 11  officers of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) cadre on charges of corruption.

While two of them have been dismissed from service, pension and gratuity of nine officers have been discontinued.

Senior government officials said that the decision has been taken as a part of a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. ” The concerned officials have been convicted on charges of corruption,” said an official. 

The OAS officers who were dismissed from service are Bijayini Biswal the former Tehsildar of Loisingha and Pradeep Kumar Behera, former BDO of  Komna block.

Similarly, pension benefits have been stopped in cases of former Mayurbhanj DPC Bansidhar Nayak, former BDO Ganesh Prasad Nayak, former Tehsildar Santosh Kumar Mohanty, former Puri Tehsildar Pravat Kumar Maharana, former Nuapada BDO Sunil Kumar Sahu, former Balasore Tehsildar Nirakar Parida, former E.O of  Bargarh Municipality Nabin Seth, former Khandapada BDO Sanatan Sethi and former Regional Transport Officer Purandar Pujari.
