Cuttack: An 11-year-old kid was felicitated by police for his noble act of distributing drinking water to the traffic personnel of Cuttack during this summer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack Akhileshvar Singh on Friday felicitated the child social worker Abhisek Sahoo and presented him a certificate of appreciation.
Police said that Abhisek distributed around 10000litres of safe drinking water to the traffic personnel in the city.
“Most of the residents in the city faced difficulty to get safe drinking water after cyclone Fani. So he decided to distribute drinking water to traffic police. He moved from one traffic post to another and distributed water. He has not taken any money from me. He spent his own money which he has earned in various music competitions,” said Abhisek’s father.
