Odisha govt defers evaluation of Matric, Plus-II answer sheets for Cyclone Amphan

Bhubanrswar: The Odisha government deferred the evaluation of the answer sheets of matric examination and plus-II examination, conducted by Odisha Board of Secondary Education and  Council of Higher Secondary Education respectively,  in view of the approaching cyclone Amphan, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash on Monday.

The evaluation process of answer sheet of matric examination has been scheduled to begin on May 21 while that of Plus-II exam, it will begin on June 1, he added.

The remaining papers of Plus-II examination will be held from July 1 to 15, the Minister said.

The evaluation of the answer sheets was earlier halted midway in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

Cyclone Amphan, formed over Bay of Bengal, is expected to make landfall and hit West Bengal and Odisha states on Wednesday afternoon.
