Odisha government applies ESMA on health workers
The Odisha government has applied Essential Services (Maintenance) Act (ESMA) on all health workers, said reliable reports.
Bhubaneswar: In a recent development, the Odisha government has applied Essential Services (Maintenance) Act (ESMA) on all health workers, said reliable reports.
It is worth mentioning that the services of nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, technicians have been put under the purview of this Act.
Furthermore, ESMA shall also be applicable to Class III and Class IV employees prohibiting them from going on strikes.
It has been further clarified that, the order shall remain in force for six months from the date of issuance.
