Dhenkanal: Elephant attack killed one elderly man in Gunudei village under Dhenkanal Sadar range on Monday.
The victim has been identified as Mangaraj Patra of Gunudei village.
As per reports, the elderly man was at nearby mango orchard when he was trampled to death by an elephant. Whether the elephant was alone or part of a herd is not clear yet.
The villagers blocked the nearby NH 55 at Gunudei square demanding appropriate action and compensation.
