Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is slated to inaugurate Puri Shri Jagannath Medical College tomorrow.
The district administration and police have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the inaugural program and the peaceful visit of the Chief Minister.
Puri Superintendent of Police (SP) Kanwar Vishal Singh visited the medical college today and reviewed the security arrangements for Patnaik’s visit.
As per the schedule, Patnaik’s helicopter will land on the helipad prepared inside the campus of Shri Jagannath Medical College at 5 PM tomorrow. Then he will attend the inaugural program as chief guest and inaugurate the Medical College.
Admission of the first batch (100) of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) students has been completed. Hostel, canteen, lab, classroom and the administrative block are also all ready.
The government has reportedly sanctioned Rs 500 crore for the construction of the medical college.
