Odisha CM hails Balasore youth for qualifying as research scientist in ISRO

Balasore: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Alok Bhanja of Balasore district for bringing laurels for the state securing the top spot among 7 lakh aspirants of research scientists in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).

Taking to his Twitter handle, Patnaik congratulated the 20-year-old youth for his achievement.

Alok is the son of Dayanidhi Bhanja, a vegetable farmer, and Gitanjali, a house maker. Being from a poor family, he was never worried for his education. However, despite all odds, showed signs of brilliance at an early age.

Alok started his schooling from Shraddhapur High School in Bhogarai and had got a scholarship for studies when he was only seven-year-old.

Alok secured 90 per cent marks in Matriculation exams and then completed Plus Two in science stream from Vidyanjali College.

Currently, Alok is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Balasore-based Fakir Mohan Autonomous College.

According to reports, Alok, after completing his graduation course, will be imparted training in NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) and in Particle Board of Russia.
