Boudh: Acting on a tip-off, the district police conducted a raid in Sulia forest near Nuapalli under Kantamal police limits and seized around two quintals of cannabis in the district today.
Police also arrested a man whom they identified as Subhransu Karmi. He was arrested while he was packing the contraband in sacks.
Police said that six persons involved in the ganja smuggling absconded from the spot after seen them.
While the market price of seized Ganja is assumed to be more than Rs 60 lakh, further investigation into the matter is underway.
