Odisha: Closure Of Hostels To Be Decided After Reviewing Covid Situation, 10 District Collectors Alerted

Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department has directed 10 district collectors over the COVID resurgence in the State. The department has informed the collectors that they can take decisions for the closure of the hostels of the institutions coming under its supervision as per the demand.

The School and Mass Education Department has also directed all the district education officers to strictly adhere to the COVID guidelines at all the educational institutions.

On the other hand, complete academic year has been affected due to the coronavirus. It was suspected that situation will gradually improve after reopening of schools for class IX and XI. However, Odisha has been witnessing COVID resurgence.
