Odisha: Bhubaneswar-Dubai direct flight to take off today

The first Indigo flight from Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport to Dubai to Dubai will take off at 6.30pm today.

Bhubaneswar: The first flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Dubai to Dubai will take off today. The Indigo flight will take off from Bhubaneswar Airport to Dubai at 6:30 PM and will reach Dubai airport at 9:45 PM. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch the Dubai flight at Bhubaneswar airport.

Bhubaneswar to Dubai Schedule

IndiGo will offer the Bhubaneswar to Dubai direct flight service three times per week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. According to an official, the initial ticket price is Rs 10,000 per sector. On the first day of the flight, only 170 passengers will travel to Dubai. The ticket price for the round trip is set at Rs 20,000 as an introductory offer.

Odisha is the first state in the country to start direct flights abroad on its own initiative.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that this service will bring the opportunity of travel to Gulf, Europe and Western countries easily and at affordable prices to the people of Odisha. This will pave the way for the development of tourism in Odisha. It will also bring employment opportunities.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ticket sales for the flight on April 1, On the occasion of Utkal Dibasa (statehood day). The first eight tickets were distributed by the CM to Mission Shakti women, athletes, tribal leaders, and artists.
