Odisha: 17 students fall sick, admitted to Keonjhar DHH

Keonjhar: At least 17 students of a hostel  in Keonjhar district in Odisha have fallen sick and have been admitted to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).

The incident has been reported from a hostel located in Sadar Block Belda of Keonjhar District.  The students have fallen sick and have been admitted to the district headquarter hospital.

It is worth mentioning that these students had fever in the morning immediately after having food in the hostel.

The ADMO informed that all are recovering after treatment. According to the information, 113 students of the Hostel in Belda were going to study at a private school in Palaspanga when some students suddenly fell ill with high fever.

They were admitted to the district head hospital by the hostel authorities, said reliable reports. While seven students have been discharged from the hospital after treatment, now 17 students are suffering from mild cold and fever, ADMO said.

He said that their health condition is stable and that they are on the path of recovery. An investigation is being done to know the cause of the infection and subsequent fever.
