No respite even for Police! Miscreants loot gold ornaments, valuables from cop’s house in Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: Miscreants have looted gold ornaments and valuables even from the police personnel’s house at Jamubania village under Dharamsala police limits of Odisha’s Jajpur district.

Police Sub-Inspector Jagadish Sahu who is working at Badambadi Police Station is a resident of Jamubania. Miscreant entered his house by digging the window grill when he had gone for duty and looted gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees and Rs 30,000 cash.

Likewise, the miscreants looted gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees and cash from the house of Sahu’s neighbor, Dwarikanath Jena.

The looters entered the house in the same manner when Jena, a retired teacher, and his wife had gone out for some work while his son and daughter-in-law were in one room.

The matter came to light only when the family members noticed the broken windows this morning.

Dharamsala police soon started an investigation into the matter after two separate cases were filed by Sahu and Jena.

The locals are in a state of panic following the incident. They said if the miscreants could dare to loot from a cop’s house, then they can easily steal from the common man’s house. Besides, they demanded immediate arrest of the robbers.
